MYST television series

Ah! children of the nineties who never owned any games consoles but had access to PC games rejoice!

A television series based on Myst is being made, though of course, when it actually comes out it shall be far more exciting!

I spent hours playing MYST when I was young, it was brilliantly suspenseful and required a different kind of thinking!

And who can forget the brilliant soundtrack, still to this day I play it when I study, here's a snippet

Can't wait for it to be out!

Funemployment!

In the past I may have been known to change the Disney "pirate's life for me" lyrics into "the Idlers life for me", for the few days of the week I wish to not be a pirate.

The Idler's life for me is a brilliant mixture of pursuing all the things I like to do in my spare time

Rhythmic Sun's soundcloud is a favourite destination:

link here the Dragon Dreaming set is my favourite, great time last year!

And if you were lucky enough to grow up in the nineties, chances are you came across Myst at some point, even if you weren't a gamer, it was a real hook for all people as the mystery of getting off the island was a brilliantly simple concept, yet so much work went into it!
Rumours of a Myst inspired tv series! Just what I need, more procrastination materials!

Hitting the job search hard:

Even those gods of music The Specials sing about unemployment in Ghost Town, much worth the listen if you don't know their stuff

Lots of time spent perusing National Geographic, online and off, a favourite destination to lose oneself in

Then there is the downside to Funemployment, such as being really cost restricted, which all students can relate to. I also like to get away from this modern world we have constructed for ourselves, and for these reasons, camping every few months is an absolute must, it helps me unravel and shake off the ideas of 'needs' vs 'wants' and gets you back in touch with abilities you don't necessarily use everyday, but which are really the most useful ones to have, such as finding clean water, first aid and campfire cooking, lighting the fire from scratch. The bare necessities

Kate Moss accepting David Bowie's BRIT award

Anglophiles unite! No that sounds bad when you say it in some places in Australia! Political debate aside, did everyone catch that ridiculously glorious, over the top, amalgamated moment of music history and fashion clashing in the most crazy way?

I'm talking about Kate Moss accepting David Bowie's BRIT award on his behalf!

Because, you know, only having one supermodel (Iman! what a stunner!) to help with the daily tasks of Bowie-ness ain't enough, I wonder if the British will recall this as a crazily monumental moment in BRIT award history, like Ginger Spice wearing the Union Jack tea towel in the nineties? Maybe it's long reaching Britsh-ness is what enthrals me?

I think she looked great in a surreal moment of Wow-ness!

Here is a link to a video of the moment, Noel Gallagher makes me laugh! I think Kate looks great in Bowie's iconic rabbit suit

Thoughts? Did only I enjoy this moment perhaps a bit much? I hope not!

'Stay with us Scotland!'

Pics from Daily Mail, I realise a lot of British really don't like the DM, I do apologise, I love their ridiculousness!

Drew Barrymore style

90's

and 2000's

Love the suspenders! :)

Can't be put in one category, eclectic taste is awesome, you never know what to expect, whether polished or nice and casual, Drew Barrymore always seems to pull it off

I love the colours in all these, the 30's style dress far left she looked incredible! Second from left, the giant satin bow looks lovely as a contrasting colour, 3rd along we have a brilliantly structured gown, not taking itself seriously, just having fun.

I am in LOVE with that McQueen dress, its detail is incredible.

I know she copped a lot of flack for the dip dyed ends, but I liked it, just having some fun and not taking her 'look' seriously, her hair matched the dress! Lovely colour on her and the overlay is wicked!

Spice Girls now and then

90's

Geri as Marilyn

Spice World is the best film ever and the worst film ever

I thought Mel C looked rather pretty at the London 2012 Olympics performance

Moment in the film where they posed as each other

Geri H recently in Melbourne, I like pink with silver.
With her uncontrollable golden globes, Haliwell topless shoot horror! Remember that?

They had a Vogue cover, apparently Anna Wintour regrets it.
I think there are other things that should be higher on her regret list, Syria's first lady springs to mind.
You can read the full (hilarious) article here

I remember being frightened that someone could look this way, let alone be featured in a shoot looking that way, Posh circa 2004

I'm just glad she put those awful awful blonde over tanned days behind her, she actually looks kind of good in the recent Vanity Fair pic:

and a 2013 Elle shoot, less of  an extra terrestrial look

I'm so glad that neon trend has died.

Look, a design of hers that's actually cute! Little kitties! Her daughter is pretty adorable too :)
