Ralph Steadman Alice in Wonderland

Some of Ralph Steadman's illustrations for Alice in Wonderland, glad someone is challenging the Disney copyrighted image of (ha!) I really like the sketchbook style, it suits the madness of the characters really well!

Some of his most famous illustrations were for Hunter S Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, a really great book and film too

Work of the well known French illustrator

Art Deco and Art Nouveau were particularly beautiful styles of art. Though art is subjective, I do think people need to acknowledge some people have genuine artistic talent rather than just an overly intellectual or post modern 'idea' of art, if you want to call it that.
