Peau D'ane/ Donkey Skin

Image heavy post alert. Anyone who likes fairytales should watch this

It's so colourful, vibrant, over the top in parts, so in other words, incredible!

The above poster is on my wishlist, I'd frame and hang this in my little hallway

It has a jewel-pooping donkey! that's a win-win situation always!

I don't want to 'talk' about it too much, suffice to say it's similar in theme to Cinderella (kindofish)

And a young Catherine Deneuve is beautiful as always in it

It also features quite possibly the best casket ever, feel free to submit rebuttals, preferably in picture form

All the pretty coloured pictures are making you want to watch it, right?
Well you can, right here!

Excessive love

Neuschwanstein Castle= perfection from every angle. Bucket list! Everything Castles should be! Grand theatrical and landscape dominant

Pink Floyd's The Wall. Gerald Scarfe's illustrations come to life= magic

More magic! Donkey Skin theatrical poster

Swans. Beautiful to look at, treacherous to packed picnic baskets and the ducks around them vying for scraps, they're kind of dicky to the other water birds, but that's the way it goes, the beautiful people get away with their terrible behaviours...

Colour me happy

This stunning photo of Switzerland! no idea who took it, but they are talented at captures!

I'm going to attempt to make some Lebkuchenherzen's! I was lucky enough to see them all on display in their finery at a Christmas fair in Germany a few years ago, the air was thick with their delightful smell and their beautiful colours.

Speaking of beautiful colours, Peau d'Ane, or Donkey Skin in English. The beautiful film version of the fairytale, starring the beautiful Catherine Deneuve, the costumes and scenery are out of this world.
The whole thing can be viewed here
Enjoy!
