Faerie tale Theatre: Rumpelstiltskin

The wizard reminded me of a drunken Dumbledore, or perhaps Dumbledore is a slightly more sober version seeing as this pre-dates Harry Potter? who knows

I think the red hair suits Shelley

Herve Villechaize (Rumpi) also played Nick Nack in the 007 film The man with the golden gun!

Highlights: Duvall's suit at the beginning introducing the episode, insulting alliterations, i believe one of the guesses of Rumpi's name was 'sack-bat' but my ears could be deceiving me on that one, an evil little tune sung by Rumpi and his friends and the painting backdrops, but, best of all:

A young Bud Cort, playing a page in it! Star of Harold and Maude and Brewster McCloud, 2 other films completely worth seeing, top left hand corner in the pic above

Brewster McCloud

This post is for my sister who got me onto this film a few years ago. Brewster McCloud (starring Bud Cort of Harold and Maude fame) is a film that has been strangely neglected. I'm not going to ruin it by 'reviewing' it suffice only to say, i like the philosophical elements and Shelley Duvall's first movie was this film, she really is cute in it. It's such a simple concept for a film, obsession with flight, so good.If you like 70's films and clothes and everything, this is a film for you
