Valentino floor length gowns= swoon!

The August 2014 cover featured the Downton Abbey ladies, all wearing Valentino gowns.

I am particularly in love with the ethereal colours, silhouettes, shapes and textures of floor length Valentino gowns in particular, really wonderful, wistful and elegant.

All the cover ones were from the 2014 collection I believe ( I won't pretend to know and can't be bothered to google)

Jaime King in a 2015 gown, I just love it! The sleeves, colours, everything! Stunning!

Look at these colours and the attention to detail, like a fairytale being played out in real life

Mona Vale, Sydney

Recently was in the Mona Vale area in Sydney for a wedding, really beautiful scenery, Australia is such a large, diverse beautiful country, it's a shame a lot of Australians don't see much of their own country.

Nothing better than a hike in our beautiful national parks

watched ducks bathe by the beach

the sunset over the mountains

then climbed to keep the lighthouse company, well worth every step, trekked home beneath the stars

The town that pretended to be mad

C.1200 in England, when King John was going to visit the nearby town of Nottinghamshire, the town of Gotham realised this would make them part of the King's Highway, which would introduce new taxes to them. At the time madness was considered contagious, so the whole town pretended to be mad to drive away the King's procession, and the new taxes too!
